A New Year of Spiritual Growth

This ECK Video Night is a wonderful, relaxed, heart-centered evening in which we watch a special 30-minute talk by the Mahanta, the Living ECK Master. Afterwards, we enjoy a lively spiritual discussion on the themes and ideas presented in the video presentation.

The theme of Sri Doug’s talk is a “New Year of Spiritual Growth,” but he suggests you can declare a new golden age for yourself in any unit of time and for wherever you are in your life: a new month, a new day with new goals to pursue, and with the aid of Divine Spirit you can alter your line of destiny. He shares stories about our need to have purpose in our lives, a reason for living, not merely existing. And he shares his encounter at the age of 5 with space, infinity, God, and the “I am” that was wearing his body with yellow shorts. Through stories of his lucid dreams and stories shared by others, he talks of the golden contract with divine spirit—that every encounter will move us forward spiritually. From Sri Doug, “Every atom of life is here for a creative purpose, and it’s seeking fulfillment of its divine purpose.”
